Rachel Anne Steinkamp (B.A., Theatre and Dance, 2015) led the completion of the Regency romance trilogy, Desire & Decorum, for Choices by Pixelberry Studios as the team’s book lead.

John McAllister (B.F.A., Studio Art, 1999) opened at the Richard Telles Gallery in Los Angeles where he showcased chromatic vibration and Nabi-inspired decorative painting.

Michael Berryhill (B.F.A., Studio Art, 1994) opened the Night Gallery in Los Angeles showcasing his exhibition, “Romancing the Stoned.”

Katherine Luber (M.A., Art History, 1985) was appointed Director of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and has previously been director of the San Antonio Museum of Art.

Philip Martin (M.F.A., Studio Art, 2000) opened an art exhibit for Tomory Dodge in his Los Angeles based gallery. 

Assistant Professor of Instruction in Art Education at UT Betsy Murphy (B.F.A., Art Education, 1980) will be recognized as the Higher Ed Division Outstanding Educator of the Year at the fall Texas Art Education Association conference.

James A. Davis (M.M., Composition, 1987) has released his second book with the University of Nebraska Press, “Maryland, My Maryland: Music and Patriotism During the American Civil War.” He has also been named editor for a series of essay collections and monographs from Routledge titled “Modern Musicology in the College Classroom.” Photo by Lori Deemer
