Fellowship Program

The Office of Community Engagement and Public Practice is pleased to offer the COFA Arts Administration Fellowship. This two-year program offers students fully funded internships with university and Austin-based arts organizations. As part of their fellowship, students will be matched for their first internship of the fellowship with a university-based partner. Their second internship will take place with an Austin-based arts organization. Both internships occur during the summer. Applicants will be able to indicate their preference of partner and internship focus but placement is dependent on availability.

Applications for 2026 will close March 1 for the summer 2026 fellowship cohort.

Award

Fellows will receive a stipend of $3,333 each summer to support their internship.  

As part of the application, you will be asked to:

  • Upload an updated resume.
  • Write a statement addressing how you expect to contribute to this program (200 words), and provide a statement addressing how you expect to benefit from this program (200 words).
  • Statements that are not within the reasonable word count will be disqualified.

Students who are awarded must:

  • Enroll in the fine arts internship course*: FA 340 and successfully complete all assignments. Internship course information on this page.
  • Complete at least 150 hours of internship work hours during the funded semester.
