Professor of Practice Jan Ryan Inducted into Austin Technology Council Hall of Fame
Professor of Practice Jan Ryan has been inducted into the 2026 Austin Technology Council Hall of Fame, one of the region's highest honors recognizing individuals whose leadership has made a lasting impact on Austin's technology and innovation ecosystem.
Ryan joined the College of Fine Arts in 2017 as executive director of entrepreneurship and innovation, and she founded the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship and helped create the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute. Today, she teaches the course Women in Entrepreneurship, inspiring students from across the university to combine creativity, innovation, and business to solve meaningful problems.
Before joining UT Austin, Ryan spent more than three decades building and leading technology companies, resulting in four successful acquisitions and one IPO. Her Hall of Fame induction recognizes a career dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation and helping others turn bold ideas into lasting impact.
