The Austin American-Statesman recently announced 11 inductees into this year’s Austin Arts Hall of Fame, and the list included multiple College of Fine Arts faculty, alumni and friends.

Faculty

• Voice Distinguished Senior Lecturer Donnie Ray Albert, Butler School of Music
• Studio Art Professor Beili Liu, Department of Art and Art History
• Acting Professor Emeritus Franchelle Dorn, Department of Theatre and Dance
• Former Dance Lecturer Sondra Lomax, who served as the College of Fine Arts Assistant Dean and Executive Director of Development until her retirement in 2025

Alumni

• Matt Hinsley (D.M.A., Music, 2003; M.M., 1998)
• Rupert Reyes (B.F.A., Drama Education, 1976)

Friends

• Turk and Christy Pipkin: Turk Pipkin was the College of Fine Arts commencement speaker in 2013.
• Marc and Carolyn Seriff: The Seriffs created the Carolyn and Marc Seriff Young Professional String Quartet Endowment in the Butler School of Music.
