Interested in getting involved with Landmarks? Join us for a Volunteer Kick-Off Pizza Party in James Turrell’s The Color Inside and learn more about ways to support Landmarks and its collection.
Enjoy pizza in the Skyspace while Landmarks staff introduce our two volunteer programs, Landmarks Docents and the Landmarks Preservation Guild. Our education coordinator and collections manager will share what each program involves, discuss how to get started, and answer questions about volunteering with Landmarks.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in volunteering.
Landmarks Docents
Landmarks Docents lead tours of the public art collection for the university community and campus visitors. Through training and ongoing research, docents learn about modern and contemporary art while developing skills in public speaking, interpretation, and engaging audiences of all ages.
Landmarks Preservation Guild
Members of the Landmarks Preservation Guild help monitor and care for works in the collection. Volunteers receive specialized training in basic conservation techniques, adopt a work of art to visit throughout the year, and help ensure that Landmarks’ collection is preserved for future generations.
