David McMichael cut his fundraising teeth running the grants program at Austin’s Paramount Theatre from 2016-21 — now he writes multi-million-dollar presidential proposals for UT’s What Starts Here campaign. On the passion project front, David co-founded and runs fundraising for local film non-profit Hyperreal Film Club. This to say: he’s got lots of experience writing proposals to fund projects from $500 all the way up to +$20m.
