A Chat with Violinist and Citizen-Artist Vijay Gupta

SHARE

Fine Arts Career Services presents a moderated conversation with violinist, speaker, and citizen-artist Vijay Gupta. Vijay is the founder of Street Symphony, a community of musicians creating spaces of connection for people in reentry from homelessness, addiction, and incarceration in Los Angeles. He also founded the Skid Row Arts Alliance, a consortium dedicated to creating art for – and with – the largest homeless community in America. As part of his residency with the Butler School of Music, he will be speaking on the topic of how to start an arts project or organization that advocates for social justice, equality, and using the arts to heal.
