Southwest watercolor artist Jan Wright (B.F.A., 1970), exhibits for the sixth year at Far View Lodge at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. Jan was an Artist in Residence at Mesa Verde in 2012 and now coordinates the program, volunteering over 300 hours a year to make artists who visit have as great an experience artistically as she did.

Anna Krachey (M.F.A. Photography, 2008) will exhibit at the Courtyard Gallery at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center at UT. Her photography exhibit will run from May 1 to September 26 with an Opening Reception May 1, 5 -7 p.m. 

Steve Moore's (M.F.A. Playwriting, 2005) new play, “Computer Simulation of the Ocean”, does not have a physical venue, rather, it is experienced entirely through a text message subscription that lasts six months. The text messages come from Sally Boyd, a fictional character. The public will begin receiving messages on April 18 at the beginning of the Fusebox Festival.

Andrew Hallock (B.A. Composition, 2002), counter tenor, is a singer in the Dutch based ensemble "Cappella Pratensis". Earlier this year they released their latest CD 'Missa Ave Maris Stella' by Josquin Desprez.  

Jennifer Chenoweth's (M.F.A., 1999) collaborative project, "Hedonic Map of Austin," is a 3-D interactive display that maps emotional experiences throughout Austin. The installment is being displayed in the southeast entrance of the Seay Building for psychology from now until August. 

Marcia Green Santore (B.F.A. Studio Art, 1982) is curating the exhibition MOMMA at the Silver Center for the Arts at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. The show features four artist-mothers (including Santore) and explores themes of motherhood from the visceral, to the emotional, to the intellectual—responding to a society that sentimentalizes mothers but does not always respect them. In conjunction with the exhibit is a screening of the documentary film about artist-mothers, Who Does She Think She Is, on March 10 followed by a panel discussion with Santore and some of the other artists from MOMMA. The show runs March 3 - April 11.

Catherine Rogers (M.F.A. Playwriting, 1993, Michener Fellow) has published her short story “After Three Tangos” in the Gettysburg Review Spring 2014 issue. She recently returned to the U.S. from her second Fulbright fellowship in Greece (2009, 2013). At Aristotle University Thessaloniki and in Athens, Rogers led the workshops “Understanding Illness and Trauma through Narrative” with students, physicians and health care professionals, artists, writers, and fellow Fulbright alumni. She is currently an M.S. candidate in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. 

Ariana Vincent (B.F.A., 1979) published her new book The Ariana Institute's Spa Techniques Manual. As CEO of the Ariana Institute for Wellness and Education, Vincent and her company are thrilled to present the first installment of the Ariana Institute's massage manual series. This series includes seven full-length massage manuals that are designed to help deepen the knowledge and understanding of current massage therapists and introduce new, interested parties to the world of massage and bodywork.

James Jeter, (B.M. 1971) bassoon, has been invited to join the Chamber Music Coaching faculty at the 92nd Street Y here in NYC. He continues to perform principal bassoon with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra and various orchestras in the NY/NJ area.

Michael Seiben (B.F.A., 1999) is the Visual Art Center's artist-in-residence this spring. His exhibition, It Will Happen Again, "explores the line between youth and growing up and trying to hang on to youthful imagination". The show is on view at the VAC until May 10.
