Michael Berryhill (B.F.A., Studio Art, 1994) opened the Night Gallery in Los Angeles showcasing his exhibition, “Romancing the Stoned.”

Katherine Luber (M.A., Art History, 1985) was appointed Director of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and has previously been director of the San Antonio Museum of Art.

Assistant Professor of Instruction in Art Education at UT Betsy Murphy (B.F.A., Art Education, 1980) will be recognized as the Higher Ed Division Outstanding Educator of the Year at the fall Texas Art Education Association conference.

Philip Martin (M.F.A., Studio Art, 2000) opened an art exhibit for Tomory Dodge in his Los Angeles based gallery. 

John McAllister (B.F.A., Studio Art, 1999) opened at the Richard Telles Gallery in Los Angeles where he showcased chromatic vibration and Nabi-inspired decorative painting.

Robert Di Donato (B.A., Drama, 2016) took part in “Rub A Duck,” a  water-infused show by the Frank Wo/Men Collective. The production was reviewed by the Austin American Statesman, praising it as an unforgettable Austin theater performance. Photo by Matthew Bradford

Excerpts of the book have appeared in the New Republic, Wired Japan, Der Greif, and It’s Nice That. An exhibition of the work was presented in summer 2019 by Lora Reynolds Gallery. Kathryn Louise St. Clair (B.F.A., Studio Art, 1993) exhibits her paintings as a series of abstracted landscapes in “Meditations on Volatility & Serenity / Landscapes of a New World: Paintings by Kathryn St. Clair,” which is seen as a metaphor for the shifting earth and climate.
