James Tolleson

Director of Recruitment and Enrollment

James Tolleson (he/him) is the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment. He oversees the processes by which prospective undergraduate students learn more about the college, apply for admission, and ultimately enroll. He manages the college’s undergraduate admissions & recruitment staff and collaborates closely with the college’s academic advising and career services leadership with the shared goal of ensuring an inviting, inclusive, and transformative experience for our students. James received his BM in Music Studies and M.Ed. in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as an assistant director in the university’s Office of Admissions and outreach coordinator for the university’s School of Undergraduate Studies. In his personal time, James enjoys playing the tuba, running – especially on trails – and spending time with his family, including his wife Hannah, son Spencer, and fur babies, Rimsky and Duncan.
