Ashley Rivera

Ashley Rivera (she/her) is the College of Fine Arts Undergraduate Admissions Recruitment Coordinator, responsible for coordinating undergraduate recruitment and yield events and info sessions. Ashley also manages the COFA Student Ambassador program and oversees the Admissions Team's online presence. Orginating from the deserts of El Paso, Texas, Ashley attended the University of Texas at Austin earning her B.A. in Sociology and a certificate in Culture and Identity studies. After graduating from UT, Ashley went on to work with youth in both residential settings and secondary schools. As a former college and career counselor, Ashley spent much of her time working with BIPOC and first-generation students on their path to higher education and careers. In addition to her work at COFA, Ashley is a singer/songwriter in the Austin area and a trauma-conscious yoga instructor. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing piano and guitar, writing music, swimming, hiking, and practicing yoga in nature.
