Miranda Perkins

Miranda Perkins (she/her) is the Outreach Program Coordinator for the College of Fine Arts. She designs and facilitates programming that introduces high school students to the variety of fine arts opportunities and pathways within the College of Fine Arts. As part of this programming, Miranda coordinates guided campus visits for school groups, off-site visits to high school campuses, virtual sessions, and more. She also connects with fine arts and CTE educators, counselors, and administrators, building partnerships in support of their programs and students.

 

Miranda is a graduate of the UTeach Theatre Education program and has a background in performance, directing, and K–12 education. Prior to joining the College of Fine Arts admissions team, she taught middle school theatre in Pflugerville ISD. Drawing on her background as an educator, Miranda strives to create experiences that are informative, interactive, and accessible to students of all disciplines, regardless of their familiarity with the college search, application, or audition process. Outside of work, Miranda remains active in the Austin arts community and enjoys sewing, quilting, and reading.
