Paul Bolin, assistant chair of the Department of Art and Art History’s Art Education Program, co-edited the book “Revitalizing History: Recognizing the Struggles, Lives, and Achievements of African American and Women Art Educators.” The publication recognizes the historical role that many overlooked individuals—particularly African Americans and women—have played in the field of art education and acknowledges the importance of history and historical research in this digital age. Bolin and his co-editor Ami Kantawala were honored during a recent conference of the Texas Art Education Association.
