Chelsea Silvermintz (B.M., Music and Human Learning/Music Education, 2007) becomes president-elect of the Missouri Music Educators Association

Silvermintz was previously the MMEA vice-president for band and the president of the St. Louis Suburban Music Educators Association. She teaches in the Lindbergh School District in St. Louis County.

Hermes Camacho (D.M.A., Composition, 2011) appointed deputy director at Austin Soundwaves

An arts education nonprofit based on El Sistema that works with more than 1,100 students throughout greater Austin and with nearly 30 full and part-time staff, Austin Soundwaves partners with schools and community programs to provide orchestra, band, and mariachi teaching, teacher coaching, mentoring, and creative youth development. Hermes has been with the organization since 2012.

Alexandre Dossin's (D.M.A., Piano, 2001) 'Schirmer Performance Editions of the Complete Mozart Sonatas,' in 2 volumes, has been released

The performance was released by Hal Leonard in December/2023. The editions include complete new fingering, performance and historical notes, and Dossin's recordings of all sonatas.

Ryan Fogg (D.M.A., Piano, 2006) enters his 19th year as Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee

Fogg has been awarded a sabbatical for the Spring 2024 semester, during which he will be performing 25 solo piano recitals in 16 different states, in addition to the District of Columbia. The culmination of the concert tour will be his debut performance in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York.
