Hunter is the liaison between the COFA’s UTeach Fine Arts program and the College of Education. He monitors all UTeach Fine Arts students in Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. Before coming to Texas, March taught music for 17 years in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan. He was an author with the Silver Burdett Ginn Company for 28 years and presented workshops for public school music teachers throughout the United States at national, state and regional conferences, and for the Department of Defense Overseas Dependent Schools. Hunter has held leadership roles as an officer of the National Association for Music Education and the Texas Music Educators Association. He received his doctoral degree in music education from The University of Michigan.
