Fine Arts Parents Council

Mission

The Fine Arts Parents Council is a new membership society for parents and family that supports the undergraduate programs of the College of Fine Arts. Membership engagement opportunities include:

  • Serve as a resource for other parents at Freshman Orientation and UT Austin’s Family Weekend
  • Provide information and insights to current and new parents and their students through parent-to-parent outreach
  • Assist COFA Career Services in professional networking and identifying internship opportunities in your community
  • Other leadership opportunities, at the Dean’s discretion

Membership Benefits

The College of Fine Arts is deeply committed to building a strong parent community. All COFA parents and family members will automatically receive the college’s free quarterly family e-newsletter, or call (512) 471-6468 to sign up. 
 

$250 Level

  • Invitation to biannual COFA Parents Council meetings in Austin, during UT Austin’s Family Weekend in the fall and for a special event in the spring
  • Invitation to other parent-oriented events in select communities
  • Access to a private COFA Parents Facebook page

$500 Level

All of the benefits above, plus:

  • Monthly email updates from the Dean
  • Subscription to Arts Next, COFA’s biannual magazine
  • Private tour of the UT’s public art program, Landmarks, including James Turrell’s Skyspace
  • Membership in The Doty Society – $250 of your membership fees will be a tax-deductible donation to the Dean’s unrestricted fund

$1,000 Level

All of the benefits above, plus:

  • Invitation to a private Parents Council reception with the Dean and select COFA faculty and staff
  • Private lunch with the Dean
  • Up to (4) complimentary tickets to one Fine Arts performance per semester (Texas Performing Arts and Broadway Across America performances not included.)
  • Invitation for two to the annual Doty Award Dinner
  • Membership in The Doty Society – $750 of your membership fees will be a tax-deductible donation to the Dean’s unrestricted fund

$2,500 Level

All of the benefits above, plus

  • Invitation to attend the annual Fine Arts Advisory Council fall meeting held in Austin as the Dean’s guest
  • Reserved seating for up to (4) guests at Fine Arts Commencement Ceremony with reserved parking
  • Invitation to join lottery for home game football tickets, with an option to attend with the Dean. Tickets include access to the University of Texas Club.
  • Membership in The Doty Society – $2,250 of your membership fees will be a tax-deductible donation to the Dean’s unrestricted fund
