Join Center for Arts and Entertainment Technologies Director Bruce Pennycook and entrepreneur Jamie Rhodes and learn how to get started and what you need to begin thinking about to bring your idea to fruition.
With more than 30 years of experience in technology management, Jamie Rhodes is a serial entrepreneur. He is co-founder of National NanoMaterials, and he previously founded Perceptive Sciences Corporation and was the co-founder of a venture capital funded start-up focused on the telecom industry. Rhodes spent the early years of his career working with numerous start-ups, most notably National Instruments in its early stage. He also spent nine years in management at IBM. Rhodes founded the Central Texas Angel Network, which provides funding and support to Texas entrepreneurs across a broad spectrum of industries. He’s is an active angel investor and serves on numerous start-up advisory boards, including the advisory board for UT’s Center for Arts and Entertainment Technologies.
