Altin Sencalar (B.M., Jazz Performance, 2017) was chosen for the inaugural class of Geri Allen Fellows through the Carr Center in Detroit.

James Sclater's (D.M.A., Composition, 1970) music was recently featured at the Music in the City series at the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson. 

Jonas Criscoe (B.F.A., Studio Art, 2006) has work in Dimensions Gallery's Paved Garden, a large-scale outdoor curated sculpture exhibit. It is a collaboration between Dimensions Gallery and the City of Austin's Cultural Arts Division. 

Ade Omotosho (B.A., Art History, 2017) was named by the Pérez Art Museum Miami as the first participant for its Ford Foundation Curatorial Fellowship program.

Natalia Anciso (B.A., Studio Art, 2008) will have a solo exhibition, Natalia Anciso: They Try to Bury Us, at the Joseph Gross Gallery at the University of Arizona. It features extensive forms of media including paintings, drawings and tapestries, and the exhibition highlights a range work from the past six years. The exhibition, which will run Nov. 13­–Jan. 26, is supported by the Dr. Joseph F Gross Endowment, Lionel Rombach Endowment and the University of Arizona School of Art.

Landscape architect Courtney Goode (B.F.A., Design, 2008) spoke at Northwestern University recently about her design process, design thinking and prototyping.

Andrew Parker (D.M.A., Applied Music/Performance, 2013) was recently named principal oboe of the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra and Brevard Philharmonic Orchestra, second oboe of the Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra and instructor of oboe and music technology at Brevard College. He is also a regular substitute musician with the Asheville and Greenville Symphony Orchestras in South Carolina, and he’s has been appointed artistic administrator at the Brevard Music Center Festival and Institute.

Natalia Anciso (B.A., Studio Art, 2008) will have a solo exhibition, Natalia Anciso: Aspire | Aspirar, at the O'Kane Gallery of the University of Houston-Downtown. 

Joseph Kingma (D.M.A., Piano Performance, 2017), assistant professor of Music at Louisiana College, took first prize at the 2017 Franz Liszt Festival and International Competition held at Ohio State University.
