Free Digital Edition of "The Collections" now available

The University of Texas at Austin has released a digital edition of “The Collections,” the first encyclopedic account of the university’s repository of cultural artifacts edited by Landmarks Director Andrée Bober. The full 720-page volume is available for free download to allow the broad distribution of the e-book and searchable PDF to enable worldwide access to the university’s distinguished collections.

George Flaherty, associate professor in the Department of Art and Art History, has been named as the new director of Center for Latin American Visual Studies (CLAVIS), a physical and intellectual hub at The University of Texas for the advanced understanding of modern and contemporary art from throughout the Americas.

Available for free download, the broad distribution of the e-book and searchable PDF enables worldwide access to the university’s distinguished collections. 

Charles O. Anderson Honored with College of Fine Arts Distinguished Teaching Award

Charles O. Anderson, associate professor and head of the Dance program in the Department of Theatre of Dance, received the college’s Distinguished Teaching Award for his contributions as an educator and artist. Formally recognized at the College of Fine Arts 2017 spring commencement ceremony, he will receive a monetary prize and is invited to present the keynote address for the 2017 winter College of Fine Arts commencement.
